How to Play
Grab a bet slip and choose five numbers from 1 to 48 and mark them in the top section. Next, choose one Lucky Ball number from 1 to 18 and mark it in the bottom section. To have the lottery computer randomly select some of all of your numbers, just check the "QP" box for a Quick Pick.
Each play costs $2. You can play up to five times on each bet slip - each board marked A-E is one play.
Would you like a convenient way to enter multiple draws without making extra trips out? Multi-draw lets you play your lucky numbers for up to 20 advance draws in a row. Simply mark the number of draws you want to enter: 1, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18, or 20 consecutive draws.
The total cost of your ticket reflects how many plays and multi-draws you've chosen. For example, the cost of three Lucky for Life plays plus two multi-draws is $12.
Match all six numbers the lottery draws to win the first prize of $1,000 a day for life. Match all five main numbers, but not the Lucky Ball, and win the second prize of $25,000 a year for life. There are also a further eight prize levels.

How to Claim a DC Lucky for Life Prize
Congratulations on your Lucky for Life win! Here are the steps to successfully claim your prize.
For safety, sign the back of your ticket right away and keep it in a secure place.
DC Lottery winners have 180 days from the date of the winning draw to claim before the prize expires and is gone for good.
All prizes may be claimed by mail, or via one of the following options.
Wins of up to $600 may be cashed at a retailer or the DC Lottery Prize Center. If you've won more than $600 and up to $5,000, head over to a Retailer Plus location or the Prize Center. And if you've been lucky enough to win over $5,000, you'll need to visit the Prize Center in person.
Lucky for Life prizes are income and if the amount is above $5,000, Federal and District tax withholdings apply.
