How to Play
To get started, all you have to do is choose five lucky numbers from 0-9. Mark one number in each column on your bet slip. Alternatively, select Quick Pick and the lottery computer will randomly choose your numbers. You can play up to five times per bet slip (one board equals one play).
Select the draw time you want to play: Day, Night, or Both.
There are eight bet types to choose from, depending on how you want to try to match your numbers to the lottery's numbers: Straight, Box, Front Pair, Back Pair, Front Three, Back Three, Front Four or Back Four.
Choose how much you'll wager - $0.50 or $1.
If you've made a mistake, don't worry - all you need to do is mark the Void box below the board, then fill in the next board for a new play.
If you'd like to play your numbers in more than one draw, there are two easy ways to do so. Multi-Draw lets you enter up to seven draws in a row, and with Advance Play you can play draw up to seven days in advance - just mark your chosen day and draw time. If you're playing more than once, inform the clerk of the start and end dates.
When you pay for your ticket, the price is determined by how many plays you've chosen, your wager amount, and the number of draws you're entering.
You must be 18 or older to purchase a DC-5 ticket or claim a prize.

How to Claim a DC Lottery Prize
Winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize. You can mail in a winning ticket of any value to the lottery, or use one of the options below.
For prizes up to $600: redeem at a retailer or Lottery Prize Center.
For prizes above $600 and up to $5,000: visit a Retailer Plus location or the Prize Center.
For prizes over $5,000: claim in person at the Prize Center.
